A pair of Detroit Lakes steeplejacks were the center of attraction in Bemidji as they perched atop the 130 foot steeple of St. Philip’s Church going about the business of painting the cross and dome while hundreds in the downtown district watched them work. (Bemidji Daily Pioneer, Sept 16, 1946)
