Marvin and Alice Larson moved here about 1935 and lived here until 1971. Marv Larson was born in Duluth and graduated from Central High School there in 1925. He immediately went into State Insurance Rating Bureau at Duluth. He came to Bemidji in March of 1932 where he became associated with the Halvorson Agency. After the Agency had changed hands several times, Marv took over in August of 1948 and operated it under the name of the Insurance Service Agency before merging with Baumgartner Inc. on May 1, 1967. He was president of the Lake Region Insurance Association for several years. He and his wife Alice and son Bill lived here. Presbyterian Circle was hosted by Mrs. Marv Larson in 1967. Marvin Larson and family moved to Marshall in 1971 to be near their daughter, Mrs. Bob Fenske. They sold their home to Russell and Evelyn Goplin.
Russell S. Goplin and Evelyn Goplin lived here from 1971 to about 1993. They did some remodeing in 1976. At least two sons Erik and Craig Goplin. Russell Goplin was a teacher and Evelyn was the marketing director of the 1st National Bank.
