1110 Minnesota Avenue

Albert Halverson moved here to 1110 Minnesota Avenue before 1910. He & Hattie Halverson were already living nearby in 1905 at 1215 Beltrami Ave. He was working as a teamster for a retail grocery in 1910. They had two children, a son William or Wilton and a daughter Luella. He was a clerk for C. E. Battles in 1912. They moved to 1209 Bemidji Avenue before 1916 and to Bend, Oregon before 1920.
Carl and Alice Rygg were listed as owners in 1920-21.

Philip H. Thomas and wife Rose lived here from about 1924-1935. He was the proprietor of the Bemidji Monument Works in 1927 and later he was an insurance agent. A midnight fire caused considerable damage to the P. L. Thomas home at 1110 Minnesota avenue in July 1934. They moved to Odessa, Minnesota before 1937.
William & Olga Christianson were owners in 1939-40. He and Olga Krog were married in Beltrami County in 1907, so they were long-time residents of the area. He was an auto dealer and proprietor of Christianson Motor Company at 321 Bemidji Avenue from at least 1927-1939. Harry and Dagny (Christianson) Flint were renters at 1110 ½, so it was a two-generation home. William died Dec 19, 1939 and is buried at Greenwood.
Mrs. Olga Christianson lived here until her death on May 19, 1962. Harry & Dagny Flint (1946) (1953) Harry Flint died in 1957. Mrs. Dagny Flint, widow of Harry, continued to live here for another thirty years. She was a clerk for the US Selective Service Beltrami County Board. She was an active member of First Lutheran Church in Bemidji and was also a member of the Eastern Star and White Shrine. In 1989 she moved to South Carolina, so she had lived here fifty years, first as a daughter, and later as a wife, and then as a widow.
