This house was built about 1909.
Mrs. Selma A. Tolman received a check from the county for relief and care of the poor outside of the Poor Farm in 1909. She lived here in 1910-1911. The rent for living here was $10 a month, and M. E. Smith received a check for the rent from Jan 4 – Feb 4, 1910 for Mrs. Tolman to live here. She moved to the corner of Norton and 11th St. by 1912. She married Charles Sandrin on June 24, 1912. “This afternoon at 2 o’clock in the office of the judge of probate, occurred the marriage of Mrs. S. A. Tolman to C. J. Sandrin, Judge M. A. Clark performing the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Sandrin will make their home here in Bemidji and they have lived here for some years.” (June 24, 1912)

Henning Thompson (1942) (1946) Henning Thompson served in the U.S. Army in World War I. He was married to Hilda Larson in Bemidji in 1930 and she preceded him in death in 1951. Mr. Thompson was employed for several years by the Witting Potato Chip Factory. He was a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W. Wife Hilda (Ness) Thompson died in 1949.
Ralph Fredrickson married Betty Jane Lewis in 1952. They lived here from at least 1956-1967.
