This was the first house built on Calihan Avenue. It may have been built in 1915 but does not show up in a city directory until 1920. Hector M. Brown and wife Irma lived here in 1920-21. He was a salesman for G. T. Baker & Co.
G. H. Slosson, piano tuner is listed as the occupant in 1924-25 and the 1927-28 directories.
Wm. J. Krouse and wife Mae moved into the house and lived here from 1930 to at least 1935. He was a fireman on the railroad. They moved to Bemidji Avenue.
Darius Lalonde married Catherine Gilmore on Oct 7, 1937. He was a sales representative for a life insurance company. They lived here until about 1940 when they moved to Hibbing.
Harold G. Steffen and wife Helen lived here from at least 1946 to 1951. He was a manager for Western Oil in 1946 and salesman for Parker Book and Stationery in 1951. They moved from Lake Boulevard to this home.

Oscar Buckmaster lived in Bemidji from 1954 to 1968. Wife Ruth, daughter Janet. He retired in 1968 after 30 years of employment with the state of Minnesota. He was a founder of the Mississippi Headwaters Blood Bank in Bemidji. Members of the Men’s Garden Club put on a farewell party for him at the home of Sam Back in July 1968. He and his wife Ruth moved to Seattle, Washington. Ruth died in 1970 and Oscar died in 1972.

Richard and Jeannine Vogel owned it in 1978. Richard was a psychologist at BSU; Jeannine was a blood bank aide at Bemidji Hospital and Steven was also a nurse aide at the Bemidji Hospital.

Changed owners in 2007 and in 2009. The house was described in 2009 as a charming home with solid maple floors, updated kitchen, and 3-4 season porch complete with a gas stove.
