Elmer Heggie married Dorothy Waldron on June 11, 1939. He built this home and they lived here from 1939 until his death on May 20, 1976. He worked in Greenland in 1950 and 1951 and also worked on the Iron Range but this was home. They had two children Darrell and Joyce. It is one of the smaller houses in Bemidji.
