Roy Bliler built a house there before 1910. His daughter Ardath was born there in 1910. That was before there was running water, sewer or sidewalks in the neighborhood. Roy Bliler became County Surveyor in 1910, a position he held until his death in 1927. They lived in the home until his death.

Mrs. M. D. Stoner of Brainerd came to Bemidji yesterday and was a guest of Mrs. R. K. Bliler at her home, 1109 Minnesota avenue, until this morning when she returned to her home by auto accompanied by R. K. Bliler, division engineer of the Highway, Department, and Miss Ruby Edwards-, who has been acting as stenographer in the maintenance office in Bemidji, who has been transferred to the Brainerd office.
