Paul Bunyan Vintage Auto Club, Oct 1, 1974

Members of the local auto club are working furiously in an attempt to keep some prized auto parts out of the iron jaws of the Crusher. A delegation from the club, headed by Larry Oakes, paid a visit to the Beltrami County Board to talk about the county’s abandoned vehicle program and to find out if the club might be able to scour for prized parts the vehicles collected under the program. A large number of abandoned vehicles are being collected throughout the county and then turned over to a scrap iron dealer for crushing. The club hopes to salvage some of these parts before the next step when the vehicles are destroyed.
