John S. Smith, Lumberjack, Interred near Camp

John S. Smith was taken sick at Foy’s camp Saturday morning while eating breakfast. He commenced to choke and immediately expired. He was about 50 years of age and a native of New York State. A minister stopping at Mr. Munro’s was summoned, and funeral services were held over the remains Sunday, attended by two ladies and eight men. The remains were interred near the camp.
