An unknown man, apparently\u00a0in the middle stage of life, is\u00a0dead at the Blackduck hospital,\u00a0where he suffered with typhoid\u00a0fever, the result of exposure and\u00a0privation sustained while walking from Minneapolis to Blackduck, a distance of 248 miles.<\/p>\n
The man arrived at Blackduck\u00a0several days ago and was taken\u00a0ill shortly after his arrival. He\u00a0was cared for by the authorities\u00a0and placed in the hospital, where\u00a0death occurred Saturday afternoon. The man was without\u00a0money and had apparently come\u00a0to Blackduck to obtain work in\u00a0the woods. (Bemidji Daily Pioneer, Oct 2, 1905)<\/p>\n
