E. Battles. Mr. Treichel expects to commence building on these lots at once and complete the structure by spring when he will move his family to Bemidji. (Oct 26, 1914) He built one of the smallest houses in the Bemidji area at 672 sq. ft.<\/p>\n<p>Albert and his wife Eliza lived at this residence for decades. In 1930 and 1940, Albert was a caretaker for the city library park. Children: Amanda, Max, Helmuth, Alvina, Bertha and Isa. Eliza died on Feb 21, 1940. Albert died Jan 19, 1945. Helmuth Treichel then lived at the house 1946 \u2013 1957. He was employed as custodian for the Markham Hotel, retired in 1957.<\/p>\n<p>Wm. Okerman lived at the house from at least 1964 to 1970.\u00a0William Okerman was a surveyor for the US Forest Service.<\/p>\n<p>Arthur Gullette was listed at this residence in the city directories of 1974, 1978, 1982. <a href=\"http:\/\/bemidjihistory.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/1301-Bixby.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1519\" src=\"http:\/\/bemidjihistory.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/1301-Bixby-300x200.gif\" alt=\"1301-Bixby\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"http:\/\/bemidjihistory.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/1301-Bixby-300x200.gif 300w, http:\/\/bemidjihistory.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/1301-Bixby-1024x683.gif 1024w, http:\/\/bemidjihistory.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/1301-Bixby-450x300.gif 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Arthur Gullette was a professor at Bemidji State College.
